Helen S. Huebsch
OSAGE--Funeral services for Helen S. Huebsch, age 88, of Osage, were
held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Osage, with Rev. John Moser officiating. Helen died Thursday, Nov.
3, 2005, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Helen Sophia Siebels was born August 23, 1917, in Perham, Minn., to
Edward and Kunigunda (Dietlein) Siebels. She was the third oldest of
eight siblings. In 1939, Helen married Edwin Francis Huebsch in
Perham. They were parents to five children: William, Carol, Lois,
Joseph, and Diane. The family moved from Perham to Osage in 1960
where Edwin continued to pursue his turkey service business. Helen
was active in Sacred Heart Church, St. Rose Circle, Our Lady of Good
Counsel Study Club and Alpha Writers. She and Ed were founders and
leaders for many years of the Gorman Sunshine 4-H club in Perham.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lois Root and son-in law
Darrell Root, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Helen is survived by her husband, Edwin Huebsch, of Osage; her
children, William Sr. (Colly) Huebsch of Osage, Carol (Ron) Gruber
of Rochester, Minn., Joseph (Sandra) Huebsch of Osage, Diane (Jon)
Sparrow of Osage; two sisters, Agnes Schwanz of Perham, Minn.,
Pauline (William) Morganroth of St. Cloud, Minn.; one brother Eugene
(Anne) Siebels of Virginia Beach, Va.; 25 grandchildren, 52 great
grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
